Grinding Noise When Accelerating Hard
Grinding Noise When Accelerating Hard. Its hard to describe the noise, but coming from driving a turbo car already (prior to this car), what it sounds closest to for me is like a mini wastegate letting out air since it only sounds like it does it when accelerating. Additionally, if left alone, it can cause further damage to your transmission, cv joints, and wheel hubs.

Any help would be appreciated. It may be a transmission mount or motor mounts, but that makes more of a heavy vibration rather than grinding. Twice i’ve heard a grinding noise when accelerating hard so i let off gas and it stopped.
Anyone Experience Something Similar And Is This A.
At 376k i'm assuming you've changed your transmission fluid at least a few times? Not changing the rear diff fluid on the crv 2 will eventually give you a grinding sound, not dissimilar to a wheel bearing failing sound, and if your acceleration is heavy enough to activate the rear diff drive mechanism, it could be the clutch plates inside the diff grinding. Two things could cause the grinding issue.
For The First Few Minutes Of Driving, I Hear A Grinding Sound (Maybe Raspy?) From The Engine Bay.
How about your rear differential fluid? First, it is not your brakes. If your car is making a grinding noise when accelerating from a stop, it could very well be your differential.

In your video, the sound appears when the car is stopped. If the noise increases with road speed, whether accelerating or coasting, it is more likely a wheel bearing. When coasting (not accelerating or braking), especially at speeds below 30 mph, it makes a much clearer grinding noise that is still very rhythmic.
8)Noise Seems Not To Be Present In Reverse With The Wheels Pointed To The Right (Did Not Try The Other Way Yet [:I] )
I have a 2000 w202 with about 85k miles. The audi service specialist rode with me in the car while i was driving aggressively. Sound is focused on passenger side.
7)There Is Some Tie Rod Noise Present At Low Speed On Uneven Roads.
Discussion starter · #1 · sep 24, 2013 (edited) hi all, just tonight, i heard hard grinding noise when accelerating. I tried it with sport mode as well and it has the same result. Any help would be appreciated.
